New updates are not exactly forthcoming, which means BSL Shaders do not work with the latest version of Minecraft and probably never will. This should just be common sense, but when some shaders can be run using integrated graphics and no GPU at all, it seems like this is an important thing to say. If you thought Chocapic13’s Shaders were demanding, you’ll be disappointed to hear that this heavily modded version of that shader pack has higher requirements to go along with its significantly improved visuals.

Things look great throughout, with no noticeable bugs or glitches.Īs far as requirements go, the BSL Shaders mod is more demanding than most. Clouds are still in 2D, and the motion blur effect has been updated to adequately blur textures which find themselves under the new lighting and shadow effects. Colors are bright and come with both a boost and saturation alteration, which gives everything a kind of cel-shaded look. It’s heavily modded, sure, but credit is still given to the original source materials, without which this mod would have been impossible to make. So, if you don’t already have Optifine installed, you’ll need it to get the most out of this shader pack.īecause BSL Shaders takes some inspiration from Chocapic13’s Shaders, not all of the content here is unique. Also, unlike many shader packs which work just fine as standalone mods, BSL Shaders requires Optifine with Shader (found in the + settings menu) to produce the highest quality visuals possible.

As far as GPUs are concerned, it was one of the most compatible shader mods in 2015, though the same can’t be said for 2021.

Do you know how to find that? If not, you can either ask me for directions here or consult your search engine of choice for directions. So, every application (e.g your Internet Explorer) has a menu / about dialog with version info. My preference is to do this in written form, precisely *because* details matter. Would it be better, or possible, to sort this out over the phone? I think we are being limited here by my lack of computer knowledge - I am trying to answer your questions, but every answer seems to lead to many more. You can also try a different browser than IE (Firefox, Chrome). To use a different launch method, click the "Having trouble launching?" link at the bottom of the given launch page. Which IE version? 7? 8? 9? Java 1.7.0 doesn't say much, you also need to report the update version (most recent is Java 7 update 45). I'm not aware of any changes to anything on the computer. I'm not sure how to use any of the others to launch it. The operating system is Windows XP, I'm using internet explorer, and Java. Sorry -I don't seem to be getting email alerts when you reply. What's the computer's operating system? Which browser are you using? Which launch method (Java, NPAPI plugin, ActiveX, ClickOnce)? Do all of them result in the same error message? What's the system's Java Runtime Environment version? What changed on the system between the day things were working and the first time you got that error?
